From Limoges, Perigueux and Angouleme, the regional capitals of Limousin, the Dordogne and Charente, to the thousands of tiny hamlets dotted around the landscape, there is a wide variety of villages - many classified as the most beautiful in South West France. Here you will find timeless architecture, street-side cafes and bars, parks, and all of those indefinable things that make you fall in love with rural France - and most important of all - the warm welcome of the local people.

The culture of the region remains largely intact, still retaining old-fashioned courtesy and values. Village fetes and festivals abound, many of them dating back centuries and celebrating just about everything imaginable.

Using Cussac, Haute-Vienne, as a base, all the places of interest on this website have been visited by ourselves and many guests and friends of our B&B and are suitable for all ages and tastes. All sites are easily accessible from our Bed and Breakfast, Limousin.
